Book Talk Wednesday: The Hunger Games

Oh yes. These books are amazing. I am halfway through the third (and last) one so I'm really excited to finish it!!! This series is so good. And I'm sure everyone has seen the movies but if you haven't read the book, you haven't fully experienced it. Like always, the books are better than the movies.

If you don't know what The Hunger Games by now, I don't really want to tell you because dang, you should know by now. Sorry haha. The first book (The Hunger Games) was really really good. I freaking loved the first book. Now that I'm talking about it, I might go back and read it after I'm done with MockingJay. I might be to traumatized though. Probably one of my favorite characters is Effie. She just has a positive, hilarious attitude. And in Catching Fire (the second book), even though terrible things were happening, she was still trying to be positive and calm. And when the major disaster happened (I don't want to spoil it but if you've read the books or hell, even seen the movie you already know) you could tell that she really did care for Katniss and Peeta.

Oh me oh my. Katniss and Peeta. I love them soooooo much. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't really like Gale. When Peeta and Katniss first started talking in the first book, I knew that he was the one I wanted Katniss to end up with. I ship them times 100000000.

I haven't finished the third book but I can tell it is going to be my least favorite. I am more than halfway through and NOTHING good has happened. It's like one depressing thing after the other geez. But my favorite out of all them is probably Catching Fire. It had so much more action I feel like. And when I began reading the second book, I had a better understanding of how each character thinks and acts and I felt like I knew them. I just think Catching Fire was very intense and epic. And I think the did a great job with the movie. As far as I am concerned, they followed along with the book very well. Except for little, tiny details but I am probably the only one who notices haha.

Thank you for reading my review of The Hunger Games! If you have seen the movie but haven't read the books, I hope I encouraged you to go out and read them! Come back tomorrow for Real World Thursday! Have a lovely day! (:

Review Tuesday: Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit Face Wash

Hello readers!! Today I am going to be reviewing the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser. Wow that is a mouthful. But it is my holy grail. I love this face wash so so so much. I use the foaming scrub but they also have a cleanser.

Throughout the years, I've been experimenting with different face washes. And I'm pretty sure that this was the first face wash I ever used. But every single time I buy a new cleanser, I always end up coming back to this one. I love it because it works with my skin. All skin types are different so even though it works great to someone, that doesn't mean it will work the same way for you. The main thing I like about this is that it is a scrub but it isn't harsh. With a lot of scrubs, they tell you to only use it once a day if not a few times a week. But with this scrub, it tells you that you should use it twice a day. The next thing I like about it is the smell. Oh myyyy. It smells so clean and fresh ugh I just love it. The third thing I like about it is that it foams. I don't really know why I like the foaming effect so much I just think it feels awesome. And also when I dry my face after I'm done washing, my face is really smooth so that's always a plus.

I pair this face wash with Clean & Clear's Dual Action Moisturizer. I love this because it not only moisturizes your skin, it also treats and helps prevent breakouts. Hence the "dual action" haha. But seriously, these products work great for me. I recommend them 100%.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a lovely day(:

Sunday Morning: Senior Citizen Prom

Hello readers! For today's Sunday Morning I want to talk about an event that is going to happen at my school. We are hosting a senior citizen prom :D And no, I don't mean high schoolers dressing up as senior citizens. It is literally a prom for actual senior citizens. I think this is going to be the best thing ever. It is going to be so cool! The club that I am in, FBLA, is putting it on. This is a good idea because it's a great way for us to give back to the community. And also, I think this will bring back a lot of memories for some. Especially through the music. And guess who is the dj? That's right, ME(: I am beyond excited to do this. I have a playlist on my computer of 80 songs from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. A lot of them are slow songs but I have some rocking oldies as well.

Some of the slow songs I have are:

  1. You Make Me Feel So Young- Frank Sinatra
  2. Stardust- Nat King Cole
  3. La vie en Rose- Louis Armstrong
  4. You Belong To Me- Dean Martin
And some faster songs I have are:
  1. Peggy Sue- Buddy Holly
  2. Help!- The Beatles
  3. Yakety Yak- The Coasters
  4. All Shook Up- Elvis Presley
I will for sure post about it when it happens. I don't think we have a set date yet. But I am super excited for this. I was talking to one of my friends, Bryce, last night and when I told him about it we had a whole conversation and then he realized I meant actual senior citizens so he took the whole conversation out of context. And when I told him it was actual senior citizens he said "I'm like totally dying imagining us blaring Skrillex at senior citizens." It was so funny. Can you imagine haha? A ton of senior citizens in one room and I decide I want to play Bangerz by Miley Cyrus HAHAHA. That would be hilarious. I would probably be in huge trouble. Well I hope you enjoyed! Come back tomorrow for Music Monday and have a lovely day!! (:

Disney World Saturday: New Fast Pass Rules?

Okay so today's post is going to be a very upset rant about Disney World's new fast pass policy. It really kind of makes me mad.

Fast Passes are a gift from God. You get them for rides you don't want to wait in line for. So if I saw that Space Mountain was a 60 minute wait, I would go to the fast pass machine, put in my card and it would print a ticket telling me to come back in a certain time frame like 12:30-1:30. I could come back to Space Mountain anytime in that hour. And when I decided to come back, I would get to go through the fast pass line which is much shorter. Amazing right? And before this new policy, you could get as many fast passes a day you wanted. Now they changed everything. Now, you have to book your fast passes in advance…and each person in your group can only have 3 per day. What the heck Disney?!? How am I supposed to know which rides I want a fast pass for before I even get to the park?? I don't know about you but I would be pretty mad if I booked a fast pass for Pirates of the Caribbean and when I got there that day, the regular line was only like a 10 minute wait. That would make me mad because it is a waste of a fast pass. I could have used that fast pass for another ride that has a longer wait time. I don't know how Disney thinks this is going to be more effective. I think a lot of people will be mad about it. I mean seriously? This just irritates me so much ugh. And it sucks that each person can only use 3 a day.

Oh and also, when you are deciding which fast passes you want to book, some parks have limitations. In Magic Kingdom, there are 3 "mountain" rides: Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain. So get this, the 3 fast passes you get a day, can't be all three of the mountains. You can only get one fast pass for one mountain. I hope that makes sense. You can't get a fast pass for Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain and then get your third one for say, Peter Pan. You can only use one fast pass for one mountain. SO CONFUSING. SO ANNOYING.

There are so many things wrong with it but I better stop myself haha or I might go on for days. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading! Come back tomorrow for Sunday Morning and have a lovely day!

Inspirational Friday: Introduction

Hello readers! As you can see, I changed my Friday topic! It used to be Fitness Friday but I ran out of fitness related things to talk about since I am not a personal trainer hehe. But I think this topic will be a lot easier for me to talk about because I love inspiring people. I also love talking about people, quotes, and things that inspire me in my life. So from now on, Fridays will be Inspirational. So prepared to be inspired:)

Sorry this is literally just a paragraph but I have been really busy with school and everything recently. Check back in tomorrow for Disney World Saturday. Have a lovely day(:

Real World Thursday: Stress

Stress. It is the most annoying thing in the entire world. We all get stressed. You know those days when every single little thing irritates you? Those are the worst. I read that stress causes acne. Isn't that fantastic? A lot of people though, do not know how to handle stress. So today, I am going to give you some tips for the next time you are stressed.

There are millions of things to get stressed about. In my life, school is a big one right now. I'm in my junior year of high school which many say is the hardest year. And I believe that. The biggest thing I use to relieve stress is music. I listen to either The Beatles or Disney music. I also love to write songs when I get stressed.

Another thing I do to relieve stress is watch a movie. The type of movie depends on the kind of stressed I am. For example, if I am the kind of stressed where I want to cry, I either watch a Disney movie or something like The Last Song. And if I'm the kind of stressed where I'm angry, I watch something like Taken or Avatar.

There are so many things you can do to calm down if you are stressed. You just have to find what works best for you. It could be painting, photography, writing, etc. Try creating a blog(; Thank you so much for reading and check back in tomorrow for Fitness Friday! Have a lovely day.
