Hello readers! Welcome to Disney World Saturday! Today I'm going to talk about some of the main rides in Magic Kingdom!! This is going to be a fun one. There are a ton of rides in Magic Kingdom and for all ages. There are thrill rides and fun, storybook rides. So I'm going to mention some of my favorites.
First up is Space Mountain which is in Tomorrowland. This is a super fun roller coaster that sends your traveling at the speed of light through the stars. Okay, not literally but you know what I mean. In all honesty, this ride is so much fun for all ages. It doesn't go upside-down, there are a few hills but nothing drastic. This is one of the oldest rides in Disney World. The big, circular, white building is definitely an icon. This is a good ride to get a fast pass for because the wait time can get really high really fast so be prepared. Now, there are also 2 other mountains. There is Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Splash mountain is a log ride that takes you through the 1946 Disney film, Song of the South. It tells you the story of how Br'er Rabbit is running from Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear. Yes I know, a lot of Br'ers. It is also a water ride. At the end you go down a huge drop and you usually end up soaked (the weather can determine whether or not they turn on the thing that splashes you or not). And if getting wet isn't your thing, you can stand out in front of the ride where the drop is and watch a log plummet every 15 seconds. Right next door to Splash Mountain is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which is an exciting outdoor railroad themed roller coaster that is fun for all ages!
If you love to be spooked, head over to Haunted Mansion found in Liberty Square. This ride is one of many that is on a conveyor belt. This means that the ride is continuous. When you reach the front of the line, you just walk on the conveyor belt and hop on your own personal "doom buggy". Once you have boarded, you will then take a tour of the magnificent haunted mansion. You might meet some happy haunts as well. At the end, keep an eye out for those three pesky ghouls for me would you? Those three guys are always playing childish pranks to the guests like pulling their hair or something. Also, be careful you don't carry any spirits home with you(:
Thinking of venturing into a haunted house might send chills up your spine, so instead you might want to head over to Tomorrowland for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. This is a ride kids will absolutely love. You enter Space Ranger headquarters and wait in line. When it is finally your turn, you and a friend climb into your ride vehicle. In front of you on your vehicle, you will find a gun for each of you and a screen. Throughout the whole ride, try to shoot as many targets as possible to rack up points! At the end, hitting Zurg a lot will get you a butt load of points just saying. Then when the ride is over, you can look at the screen to see which of you got the higher score in Space Ranger training! Oh and also, it's called Space Ranger Spin because in your vehicle, there is a joystick that allows you to spin your vehicle at different angles to hit your targets more accurately.
For a cute, relaxing ride that the youngsters will love as well, go to Fantasyland and try The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. You board your own honey pot and go through the story of that silly, little bear. You might also meet some of his friends along the way!
I wish I could talk about every single ride in Magic Kingdom but I would need to write a book to fit everything! So below, you will find a list of all the rides in Magic Kingdom.
