Review Tuesday: Disney's Frozen

It's no surprise that my fist Review Tuesday is a Disney movie. I just can't help it! It's so good! From the moment I saw that first teaser with Olaf (the snowman) and Sven (the reindeer), I knew it was going to be a wonderful animated film. And it definitely was. This movie is perfect for all ages, really. My 8 year old brother loved it, I loved it, my mom loved it, my grandparents loved it, see my point yet? First, let's talk about the plot of the story.

So basically, there are two princesses of Arendelle, Elsa and Anna. Now, Elsa has this power in her hands that give her the ability of freezing things and making snow and ice and stuff. At the beginning of the story, Anna and Elsa are kids and Elsa accidentally strikes Anna in the head with her power (ice). So the King, Queen, and Elsa took Anna to these trolls and the leader told them he could save Anna but he would have to erase Anna's memory of Elsa's power. So Anna won't remember that Elsa has a power. Elsa feels so bad for hurting Anna because she couldn't control her power and she shuts Anna out of her life basically. Elsa stays in her room most of the time trying to control and live with her power. Then, the king and queen go on a voyage and their ship crashes, I guess, and they die. A while after that, Elsa becomes of age to be queen. So "for the first time in forever" they open up the gates and let the public in the castle for her coronation. Anna is very excited but Elsa is nervous and scared because she is still struggling with controlling her power and she doesn't want anyone to know because she fears she might hut someone like she did to Anna. Long story short, Anna and Elsa get in a fight at the coronation and Elsa does her ice thing by accident so everyone in the kingdom finds out so she runs away to a mountain. Her powers go insane with her mood. Since she was very upset as she ran away from Arendelle, she sets an eternal winter on Arendelle freezing everything in summer. So Anna goes off and tries to fix the eternal winter and find Elsa, along with Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven and I don't want to spoil the rest.

When I first saw Frozen, I was a little confused at one thing. They didn't really give much of a backstory to Kristoff. At the beginning, it is just him and Sven and then the trolls sort of adopt them. It didn't talk about where his parents where or anything like that. Do you remember the scene in Tangled when Rapunzel and Flynn are sitting by the fire and Flynn tells her his childhood story about being in an orphanage? I was expecting a scene like that between Anna and Kristoff. But I read somewhere that Disney didn't include Kristoff's backstory because they did not want Anna and his relationship to be the main focus. They wanted the main focus to be about the sisterhood between Anna and Elsa rather than a typical prince and princess story.

The last thing I want to talk about it the animation and music. Both were so incredible. Frozen is from the creators of Tangled, which is my favorite Disney movie, so I just had a feeling that this movie was going to be extremely great. The songs they have a fantastic! And Demi Lovato has a song on the soundtrack so go check it out! I never knew Kristin Bell (voice of Anna) could sing like that!! And Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa) has a crazy good voice as always. Oh and I am for sure fangirling on Jonathan Groff (voice of Kristoff). I mean deeeng. Josh Gad (voice of Olaf) is seriously hilarious. I laughed so hard at the cute, little snowman(:

So at the end of the day, I give Frozen 5 STARS YAY! Everyone should see it, I promise you won't regret it!! I hope you enjoyed today's Review Tuesday and come back tomorrow and read Book Talk Wednesday!! Have a lovely day :D
